About Brad Sucks
Brad Sucks is the name of my one man band. I write, record and produce songs and put them on this website for people to download and hopefully share and enjoy. There are also some albums for sale.
In 2001, I started using the Internet (blogs, MP3s, P2P) to spread my music and not worrying so much about copyright violation. I've even been giving the source of my songs away for remixers to play with. I figured that spreading my music should be the number one goal and so far it's worked out pretty well.
Despite giving my music away for free online, my songs have been licensed for television, played on commercial and campus radio, and I made enough money from licensing and sales to do a real pressing of my first CD: I Don't Know What I'm Doing. I followed that up with Out of It in 2008.
I've also been involved in the open source community. I designed the default sounds for the popular instant messaging client Pidgin and have also released some open source packages for musicians: the Brad Sucks Digital Download Store, Gimme Some Money as well as many other projects.

Where can I get your music?
You can buy my albums I Don't Know What I'm Doing or Out of It directly from me for whatever price you like in the Brad Sucks store. They can also be found on popular digital downloading services such as iTunes, Amazon MP3 and Magnatune. As well as in CD form at stores like CD Baby and Amazon.
Why would I buy your music when you give it away for free?
Well I don't know, but people have been doing it and I hope they continue. Maybe they like a CD to hold in their hands, maybe they just want to support artists, maybe it's just flat-out pity.
I put my music online because I want people to hear it. I'd obviously love to make a living making music, but if the worst-case scenario is becoming a well-heard artist that never gets paid, I can live with that.
Can I do something with your songs?
Yes! Do what you like with them. I've love to see or hear what you've done and post your work to the Music section. The full source for all my album tracks is available.
Where can I get lyrics for your songs?
In the lyrics section.
Where can I get guitar tabs of your songs?
You can get some on the tabs page.
Can I play your songs in my podcast?
Please do. I love it when podcasts play my music. If you need a Brad Sucks drop/promo for your podcast, please get in touch.
