Looks like my song Making Me Nervous is gonna be in a commercial for Spin Symposium ’04, some sort of skiing/snowboarding thing. The spot will be airing on the French-Canadian MusiquePlus video channel starting Saturday through the end of April, if you see it, let me know!

I’ve uploaded a copy of the ad here, if you’re interested.

Fuck yeah! I thought they would skip the vocals, but they showed up at the end. Awesome little thing. Did this come in through Magnatune or did they just find you? Pretty cool either way.

(though now I have the urge to have sex with DJs while snowboarding and drinking Sprite.)

Matt: it came in through Magnatune, I’m not sure what the backstory is other than that.

It’s pretty cool, I think a lot of people are going to see the ad around my area.

Eep! While that was some great editing (video) I cringed at the cut up of the song. Maybe I’m just old fashioned like that. Anyway, it’s really cool to see your music being used in a commercial. I also thought the shots of a faceless band were pretty entertaining. I wonder how many people are going to figure out it wasn’t a band that made that song.

So, like, do you get royalties for each airing and stuff?

I’m with MikeXpop – the editing on your tune is just damn awful. I don’t know how they could even think it was approaching a good edit.

Fairly cool overall, though – pity you’re not credited in the ad.

I didn’t mind the editing all that much, and the exposure is going to do awesome things for you. SPRITE was on there. You are now officially a cola-sellout! AWESOME! :-)

Now I’m thirsty.
