I was actually able to get everything off of the old one using xcopy. I hope that's it! Even if you had lost it there are data recovery companies that do amazing work on getting data off crapped out drives, they just aren't cheap. I have a Netflix account where I just burn DVD's when they are shipped to me and send them back without even watching them right away. Recently I switched from DVD +R to DVD -R. I burned over 50 DVD +R DVD's without testing them, and last night I tried to watch one. I found out my DVD player doesn't play DVD +R, so I can only watch them on my computer. Sounds frustrating.
