A lot of Cake songs, for example, follow patterns: <b>She doesn't care</b> -Whether or not he's an island -(about anything) Just as long as his ship's coming in -Whether or not he's a good man In this format, you repeat the header at the beginning of each subset. You can format it so that the end of each line fits a rhyme scheme, keep track of syllables initially or after you write the basics, and add "filler" words like "well," "just," "baby," "Jesus," etc. where necessary. It'd be interesting to see where you could take it. Probably write out the "notes" first, then modify it so it has more "soul." Exactly. I don’t know about you, but I’m terrible with lyrics.
