Matt Mullenweg writes about getting screwed by the copy protection on the new Dave Matthews CD. Non-nerds (such as my mom) have even been complaining to me about this sort of thing. Makes me wonder how well the record companies think it’s working.

Yeah, I got screwed over by a Kraftwerk EP I bought a couple years ago. At the time I didn’t have a single CD player, computer or otherwise, that would agree to play all the tracks. I got to hear everything but the first one, eventually. Should have returned it as defective but I didn’t get around to it.
Oh well.
