Any show that’s preceded by me locking my keys in my car (while it’s running, even) is dead to me. The locksmith showed up in about ten minutes though so that was all right. $53 later and half an hour later I made it there in time for sound check. Other than that, we had a pretty good show last night, though I was in a bad mood about my dumbness.

It’s probably been 12 years since I last accidentally locked my keys in my car, but ever since, I’ve been very careful about ALWAYS keeping an EXTRA car key in one of my pockets in case it ever happens again.

I think it had been around 12 years since the last time I did it too. I guess I got cocky.

Ouch, yeah I did that once at the Rennaissance Festival. Missed about an hour and a half of the Fest while we waited for the guy to show up. Luckily my car didn’t run out of gas.
Now, I have a new car and it’s got this fantastic smart-key system, which means I never actually have to put the key into anything. Shouldn’t happen again!
