T-shirt designs

I’m trying to find a way to spice up my t-shirt selection. I’ve got a bunch of ideas chicken-scratched out but I’m no artist. I thought it would be nice to find people who could turn those into viable designs. I looked on Spreadshirt and Threadless but came up empty.

Mr. Coulton recently had a post about a collaborative t-shirt design site. Which would be sweet but is obviously a pretty rough thing to set up dealing with paying out royalties all the time.

I’d be satisfied if there was simply a site with talented t-shirt artists I could buy designs off of easily.

In desktop publishing, there’s clip art.
In the tattoo industry, there’s flash.
In fashion… uh… people mainly swipe each other’s designs in increasingly diluted and commingled forms :P

It seems like the results of your various artwork contests have been really cool. Are you just bored of that format? Do you think, maybe, Thunderdome or jugging?

    Hi, Brad,

I have a suggestion for you. Why don’t you post on the Spreadshirt forum, http://forum.spreadshirt.com/ ? There are lots of folks on the forum that do shirts for a living and I know there have been several that have done/do this type of design/implementation work. I’d probably post it under the general section.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Jana, I’ve done just that.

failrate: The contests where I put up money seem to go okay though I feel like if I could track down really good artists directly it’d result in better designs. But I dunno.

I’ve been looking for the past 2 days for a website I had a few months ago… where the site lets you either buy a logo for x$ (and the logo still i available for others) or you could buy it for xx$ and it would be taken down.
Anyone know what that site is? Really cool logos on there.
