My first laptop HD was 3.7 gigs (don't ask me why I remember that). Now I am checking out 1TB drives to hold my iTunes music/movie library which is now on a 500GB drive! And of course because I back everything up nightly I would need two..... It's much cheaper to buy the enclosures and then put your own internal drive in them though, than to buy these "ready to go" external drives. I hear you!
