I’m looking at building a site for pay-to-download images, but my code skills consist of “” …filling in the blanks… I’m stuck at the part of the bsdds install that requires s3 details… how can I create the ‘bucket’ that the bsdds config.php requres? —or is this built into the bsdds code?
Sorry for the circular and neubish questions; and thanks for great music, cool free code, and a forum to post this kind of annoying question.

Hi acro. I recommend the S3 Firefox Organizer. It’s the easiest way to create buckets and upload files that I’ve found.

I’ve got a test setup running… seriously, thanks for sharing this.

No problem. Post your store up around here when you get it online, I’d love to check it out.

Is it possible to convert/modify the bsdds setup to run a ‘real goods’ purchasing system as well (is that what runs your CD store…)?

I have a separate one for the CD store that I wrote. It has no shopping cart or easy customization or other fancy features people would want so I’ve never bothered to release it.

You could probably hack real goods into BSDDS and it’s something I’ve been thinking about as I’d like to consolidate my stores into one interface. I’ll have to give that some more thought…

Do you think it might be possible …(as long as feature requests are on the table)… to somehow add interac’ certapay direct payment as an option? It is currently available only in Canada, but offers the speed of paypal at lower costs/free — and is available through the online banking of the major Canadian banks…

Lateral update- Certapay is ~$1.50 per transaction, and according to a media contact not available outside the major banks walled customer sites… Oh well;)

Well, the BSDDS uses the Paypal shopping cart so I’d have to replace it with my own cart if I was going to use any other payment methods. If Google would offer Google Checkout in Canada, I’d do it for that.

How can I add thumbnails to my items list? (Like where you have the flash mp3 on your site..)

It’s slowly coming together;)

Also, at the PayPal cart, how can I make the ‘Continue Shopping’ link take the browser back to my bsdds page?
