I’m surprised there isn’t a section of the site dedicated to fans promoting Brad Sucks. There are so many of us willing to do simple things, but there lacks a section of the website to organize around. You know, something telling users to burn CD’s to distribute them at music events and shows, providing printable slips for the CD cases with link to the site, Jamendo, and Creative Commons info. A place to organize groups asking to hear Brad Sucks on the radio. Etc, etc, etc.

Good idea!

I’m promoting Brad Sucks in the classrooms actually. Im studying music management here in Holland and I use Brad Sucks in a lot of presentations about ‘the music industry 2.0′.. I don’t think it has helped so far. My class is filled with minimal dj’s and other trash :(

dpic: Are there really that many? I dunno, I feel bad getting anyone to do that stuff for me. But I could get over it. Easily. I’m just not quite sure what to ask people to do.

Maybe I need fan help setting up the fan help. Feel free to email me if you’ve got any ideas or anything, I’d love to do better at this.

That’s the beauty of free culture– your fans help you reach success, not pay-per-play radio or other bullshit! Besides, you’re not “getting” anyone to do anything for you, you’re simply providing the means for anyone who wants to =]

Yeah it’s true, I should do a better job with that. I always feel like a heel asking people to do anything for me. But it can’t hurt to throw some stuff up there.

I didn’t even realize there’s already another thread with people asking if we can organize to get you on the radio: http://www.bradsucks.net/forums/topic/get-brad-played-on-the-radio

Perhaps on this “promotion” page, we could target one radio station at a time and flood them with requests or something =]

Yeah I guess I need some new stuff to promote. I should probably start rolling on getting helpers together for whenever the new album’s ready to promote. (But will I?)

Just a note, I kinda promoted your stuff in class, Brad. My entire Honors English class, and a few others, know about your music. I used one of your instrumentals in a project which my teacher liked and showed to other classes. Hopefully you get some more followers! :)

You should try and get in touch with some kind of director and try and create some music for films of theirs, that’s usually a successful way of promoting your music I think.
