I dunno… It’s so hard to choose….

I would probably say Dirtbag because you gotta love that acoustic line and the effects are really nice and tie in well to the song. The two runners up would probably be Bad Attraction and Look And Feel Years Younger. great guitar on both of them and I love the break down/solo in Bad Attraction. :p

I’m 39 years old and I haven’t heard music this good since I discovered REM back in high school. when they were cutting edge. I can’t pick a favorite from “I Don’t Know What I’m Doing”. it all rocks. Brad Sucks is the most original combination of music and lyrics that I’ve heard in a long while. Look forward to his next work.

Borderline. Sick as a Dog. Never Get Out. Bad Attraction. and Understood by Your Dad demo is good. On Bad Attraction. did you mean to sound like Lenny Kravitz during the “You got the message. but I wanna give it to you some more.” part? Also. what are some of your influences? I can hear a bit Beck (not Jeff)sometimes. and you sound like Nick Cave at times in Borderline.

I’ve heard the Kravitz comparison but I can’t say I’ve ever spent much time listening to his stuff so I have no idea what people are hearing there.

Not sure who my influences are. probably all the stuff I listened to growing up: Rolling Stones. the Beatles. Nine Inch Nails. Ministry. etc.

You should listen to Nick Cave. As he himself puts it, “[my songs] are all about love, murder ballads, or tales of drunken regret.” What is crazy, is he can be sooo Christian (” Get ready for love/praise him”), but then sooooooo brutal (take his entire album. aptly named Murder Ballads).

I listened to some of his stuff. His song “Red Right Hand” or something was popular in my scene for a bit. But I have a hard time with really overwrought lyrics like that. Tea Party is a Canadian band that I liked the songs of but had a rough time with the lyrics.

There’s a guy in my office who’s down with Tea Party. I had never heard of them before. He popped some into the office CD player.

I don’t know what I was expecting from a band with a name like that, but it wasn’t music like that.

Nick Cave’s awesome. The album “Tender Prey” is a masterpiece.

“Red Right Hand” was on the album “Let Love In”. It’s pretty good too, though a lot more produced.

I havent found the time to listen to all of Pope Song yet, but am looking forward to it.

I’m really liking Sick as a Dog more, and Understood by your Dad still reigns supreme. I don’t know why, it’s just good.
