Ticklipple

There are a couple of songs that took a while to grow on me. and this is one.. but it was worth giving it the attention it deserved.

High points – Original style of percussion; vocal style is top notch; I really like the ‘wind-down’ style ending.

The only thing I would mention. as has already been gone over. would be the levels between the percussion and the vocals – at times it does get a little noisy.

A good job well done, overall.

BMcC: yeah, I do listen to Mellow Gold a little more than most people find sane. But yeah. the percussion itself sounds more like Sweet Sunshine to me than Steal My Body Home itself but the rest of the song is sort of… not at all like this. But still, anyone has to admit this a great Brad track and this is from someone who doesn’t like Fixing My Brain that much.

Brad: I’m still not fond of the battery/turntables losing power and think the chorus could use an extra harmony, though. But aside from those changes this song is my new favorite. I really like the bassline and percussion. If I were you’d I’d keep up with the auxilary percussion for your folkier stuff.

I do not like this song at all. It sounds like you recorded the sound of digging through a trash can and the sound of your dog licking peanut butter off of a guitar and looped them together. And why is there a one minute + outro.

This song puts me in the middle of the desert. I have to say, though, that the percussion seems a little overly outspoken. Overall, I liked it.

I love how you drag on the end of your words in this. It’s definitely the best of your slow songs. I hope to see it on the next album.

that’s pretty sweet.

does this mean sheepie == brad? I’m shocked!

But yeah, the song sounds decent. Nice percussion, cool sawtooth synth. … I like.

one thing: more cowbell!

Yes, I agree that the percussion is too loud. If you make it quieter, and slow it down a tad, it’ll sound nicer.

:INTERWEBZ:

I dont think the losing power effect is too great. Other than that I hope
its on the next album.
