I don’t know if it’ll work, but whatever. Here goes nothing.
Most shows are about playing a song the way it was originally recorded, the fewer deviations the better. Correct me if I’m wrong.
But what if you force a band to tweak a song by forcing them to use weird instruments that they have likely never used?

The idea. Litter the stage with numerous weird, mismatched instruments (i.e. An acoustic guitar, a vintage 70′s synthesizer, and a voice microphone connected to a guitar amp on one stage), give the band a set amount of time to figure them out, and have ‘em play a song/demo/pure improv session. It sure as heck won’t sound like the song on the CD, but it should sound coooooool.

I have not gone live before, so could someone that has tell how likely this will work?
