So, I’ve been playing the demo tracks close to constantly over the last few days, and I’m excited. VERY excited.
Trouble is, I don’t know how long I can continue to be so tense with sheer, giddy anticipation. I’m worried that it may wreck my nervous system, and by the time I get to hear the album, I’ll be in a wheelchair, and the experience will feel slightly tainted.
So really, I’m just asking – is there an estimated release date. Brad?

Please do not look forward to my next album. I would like expectations to be as low as possible.
It should be out in the spring. I’ve been working on it a lot and I’m trying to simultaneously get the CD artwork done and everything so there won’t be a big fat delay when I go to manufacture the thing.

Have you considered just posting the specs for the artwork and the album title and having fans submit covers ? Might save you some work on that front.

I’ve been thinking about that — I love when people submit art. But mostly I’m afraid I’ll announce a title or something, people will submit a bunch of artwork and then I’ll want to change the title. And then I’ll be a dick.

Ok, just have the fans sing and write your album too. In fact, post screenshots once a year or so, like Duke Nukem Forever. That’s like the next best thing?

Is the album gonna be called “Team Fortress X”? That’d be awesome. Now that I’ve heard what technology you’re using, I’m very excited to hear it. I have cleared the space on my iPod for the new album and eagerly-await its arrival.
I don’t think it’s premature to declare this The Best Album Evar.
