Hey,

Just wondering if Brad BFF could support OpenID (not provide it) so that we could join easily and not have yet another online account to remember and deal with. With lots of big companies adding their support to OpenID, like Google http://google-code-updates.blogspot.com/2008/10/google-moves-towards-single-sign-on.html it’ll become more and more common. I suppose this isn’t at all urgent, but i think it should be something to put on the roadmap!

Thanks =]

I’m totally down for that but I just use bbpress (www.bbpress.org) and WordPress to power the BFF section. If they added openID support that would be rad.

I’ve yet to use OpenID anywhere though. Most big companies seem to be happy to be providers but aren’t so quick to let folks log on with the accounts.

Yes, OpenID adoption is slow, but it’s happening. I don’t know about M$FT, Yahoo, AOL, or whoever, but i think Google does plan to allow use of OpenID to log into some/most of their services (not positive though).

Is this the right WordPress plugin? http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/openid/

and bbPress? http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/openid/
