I once read an interview from Beck that said he's been know to write 100 songs for an album before picking the ones that will make the album…
I checked the forums and couldn't find an answer, and don't remember hearing or reading it anywhere so here goes, of course if your don't mind…
How many songs do you have written and/or recorded that haven't made it to the site or the albums(if any)? Full or half-done.

Oh man, if we're counting half-done, tons. I have a "rough songs" directory with ideas and half-done songs I've written. Right now it has 392 audio files in it. Most of it's garbage, but I go back through it looking for anything that still stands out to me six months later.

I should also say that directory gets cleared out once a year or so. I keep anything that I still like and backup the rest. I probably have 2-3000 audio files kicking around. But as I said, most are garbage.
