Now that I'm not feeling guilty or stressed for needing to deal with posting remixes. I've been enjoying watching them roll in.
This Fixing My Brain one's pretty cool:
Has a few super-loud bass notes but that's probably the source material's fault.

That's pretty good. You must be popular if people take time to remix your songs. Speaking of that, I tried to mix a song today. I failed...horribly.
Hey, I am in the midst of making a massive remix of brad's first album. It's been about the only remix-type stuff I've been doing as of late. It's been fun going back and forth with so much material at hand, and I think I have some interesting stuff so far.
I'd say I'm about a quarter of the way to where I want to be. The idea would be one gigantic remix that CAN be broken up into individual tracks. But all the individual pieces reference each other so much I think it could work as a whole.
Anyhow, I do have 1 track that I'd like to maybe get up on CCMixter today. It stands pretty well on its own (though it does have what I'd call "leftover" drum bits at the end that I will most likely use later on down the line). So far it's the only piece I've worked on for this that contains an external sample (a snatch of a monologue from an old movie, let you guess which one if/when you hear it) but it is also the only part that has a traditional flow to it unlike my more "artsy" attempts. Here it is: http://ccmixter.org/media/files/stream/artemisstrong/6783.m3u
The reason I post is this: does anyone else ever contemplate full album remixes of this sort? It's really become my goal to treat remixes this way.
I don't think I've seen anything quite like that but I don't get out much. When I was releasing all the source for the album I thought it would be cool if it could be rearranged into something completely new.
I remixed I Think I Started a Trend.
I got up yesterday morning with a song in my head instead of a hangover. I think it came out pretty well. The website claims someone is using parts of it in another song, but I don't hear it. And it said that like only an hour after I uploaded, which seems odd.
Anyway:

New "Overreating" remix:

Has a bit of a tail at the end, all in the hopes of incorporating it into a large mega-mix someday.
Hope you like!

Havgen't added anything new so I thought I'd post it up as it is.
