Your free songs rock! I downloaded them on Magnatune for free first ( You’re still the best artist there), then I downloaded your album from your site. now I download the album on friend’s computers without them knowing and play them until they’re in their Top Played playlist. then they’re addicts. That’s right, you have junkies.
I, myself, am going to buy your next album at the first opportunity.

sorry to bump a topic
but i completely love the optional payment for song thing
it means every single cent you get is for the music people buy, not for the lie that was advertised.
if the music wasn’t free when i came to your site i probably would of gone
“Thats alright”
and clicked stumble
but instead i got what i could for free, liked it, and tipped what i could.

THE “f” FACTOR

Brad I think that the “free factor” is part of your success.
U give away good music and letting people feel free to pay or not, and not just a demo or a partial product. U give away a working product and i think this generate respect in u from people listening to your music.

Another thing is the “feeling part of … factor”: i know i can use the things u have done to create other things and i think there won’t be problems if my results are not so good, we’re here even to experiment, give and have advices or idea … its nice being part of something and share good and bad creativity

The last thing is the “Friend Factor”
Everyone always wanted a “Celebrity Friend” and Brad somehow is.
Everyone always wanted to play with a celebrity and remixin, or using or helping him with every sort of idea is quite like being part of “the band”

If brad was working with a major, we all could be part of the process probably just subscribing a newsletter full of advertisment or playn silly flash games (with respect for newsletter and silly things) :)

PS: Sorry 4 my english i’m italian
PPS: What about “THE F FACTOR” as a title for one of the next songs? it sonds nice to me :)

One reason it’s good that your songs are available for free, is that because you don’t get much airplay (unless it’s a different story in Canadia), so people don’t know whether or not they’ll like it. If you hear a song on the radio every day, or every other day, and like it, you might say “hey, I think I’ll like their album.”

Hey guys I’m kinda new to the computer thing so if someone can give me some pointers on how to use Reaper I would much appreciate it. I dont know if anyone is in this forum right now but if someone is and knows what I’m talking about respond. I would really like to be able plug in my own guitar riffs and mix it around in [Reaper]I was messing around with “
making me nervous”and created a digital compression of the actual sound.

Brad, what about just charging for higher quality mp3s (192k) and give away everything else at (96k)?

Well I coughed up the $10 for the CD within 10 minutes of getting to the site. What’s $10? I skipped my Starbucks the next morning.

flippajamma: 96k’s pretty gross sounding. And I don’t know if holding out on people that way really helps me much.

Thanks for the coffee money, wrek!
