i noted a painful lack of fire and/or explosions in your list of clichés
then theres always water dripping slowly from a faucet or what have you
maybe stop motion?
great idea, sounds hilarious as theres so very many directions this could end up taking

I have a couple ideas but a little worried that I might not be able to pull it off with the crappy camera I have.

YES YES YES … a contest! I have the same crappy video cam … aka a point and shot cam … so this might not happen … we will have to let the creatives flow I guess. How awesome is it that you produce some amazing tunes … and then make them podcast safe … WhOa! Just started the making of some youtube videos … good-bye mac mac sound clips … hello BRAD SUCKS!

Just a note on the quality issue: I think the charm would be in having it look like amateur versions of those cliche scenes. So don’t worry about the quality, just has to be fun.

(Maybe I didn’t make that clear.)

I won’t worry about my sucky camera then. Well, I will but I’ll bury the thought. I might have to wear shades to hide my shame. Actually, at that resolution you might not be able to see it anyway.

I’m not gonna burn my house down for Brad. I might see if I can sneak a flashpot into a Guitar Center.

@17 - If you put a sock over your junk, it would be cliché.

Get a 15-frame camera, slow down whatever you’ve shot to 50% the speed, and you have the budget/amateur version of slow motion. The slower, the better!
