Help Produce My Untitled Fifth Album!

Hey everybody! Despite the many indications to the contrary, I believe it’s time to put a new Brad Sucks album together! Which unfortunately means I’m about to awkwardly beg you for support (waits for approving roar of the crowd to die down.)

This time I’m hoping to do things a little differently than my usual DIY af situation — I want to involve my awesome live band in the process. I’ve already got a batch of songs ready to go and if I can raise the funds to pull it off, I think it’ll turn out pretty cool & special. I’ve never done an album like this before and I’d love the chance to.

If you think you might want to get involved, I’ve got a whole Indiegogo over here that you can hop on with more details, rewards you can get and all that. Thanks for checking it out, I really appreciate your support!

Oh, and while I’ve got you here:

Thank you so much!!

Odd Vice

I’ve been horsing around with Markov chains with the idea of developing some songwriting tools. One of my experiments seemed funny enough to make into its own Twitter bot. It mashes up VICE headlines into strange new ones. Some examples:

Gimme Some Money v0.85

I've been jealous of Gimme Some Candy for a long time. I've hassled them to let me in but they're not accepting new artists. It's a great idea -- a tip jar with benefits. Supporters can buy items and leave a little message that gets displayed on the artist's homepage.

So I've written and released an open source clone that's pretty easy to set up. It's called Gimme Some Money. The default items are a star, heart and cookie but they can be swapped out. You can see mine (using the default icons) over on the right sidebar.

Requirements: PHP 4+/MySQL & a Paypal account

Update: fixed an IE/Opera bug and updated it to v0.86 (thanks to jason for pointing out the bug).
