2024 Year in Review

Happy new year! Well, looking back I certainly took on more than I could handle in 2024 and I’m looking forward to getting caught up and fixing that. Always shocking how quickly business stuff gets out of hand and crowds the fun stuff like making and playing music into the backseat.

But we made it, the final single “Learning to Lie” is out on Tuesday along with a video we made and the album “Naturally” officially releases a week later on the 14th. I’m proud we got it done and I’m excited to get it out there.

Thank you for your support and patience in 2024 — I’m looking forward to a more balanced and creative 2025. Here’s some of the main stuff I posted last year:

Not an amazing amount of output but most of my focus this year was on getting the album project done/fulfilled, plus a lot of stressful behind the scenes big boy business stuff. Hoping once the album is out to focus on just making stuff for the fun of it again. Thanks everybody,

2023 Year in Review

2023 was pretty full! My first album I Don’t Know What I’m Doing turned twenty years old(!) and we dusted off the full live band for our first shows since 2019. We played an anniversary show and it was a blast to meet a lot of you there, I can’t believe how many people travelled from far away. I don’t really tour so it’s very sweet when you come visit me and it was a pretty special night. For those who didn’t make it, Ben & I did a decent number of live stream shows on YouTube and it was awesome to see you in the chat (next one is January 25th btw).

I kept plugging away at making songs for the Brad Sucks Patreon, which is my favorite thing to be doing these days. Thanks to everyone who supports me there, it means a ton and has really helped keep me moving forward. 

2024 should be similarly busy — one of my songs is apparently going to be in a fancy commercial and I announced the campaign for my Untitled Fifth Album which is just about half-funded. So if that’s successful, finishing the new record should take up most of my time when I’m not writing & recording new songs. Here’s hoping!

2022 Year in Review

2022! Not my favourite year but the competition hasn’t exactly been stiff lately. Thanks for being along for the ride! All your likes and shares and comments mean a ton to me. And of course special thanks to all the Brad Sucks Patrons: your support each month reminds me to keep at it even though why bother doing anything ever am I right.

In 2023 the plan is to finish and release a lot of the Patreon songs I’ve been working on and try to force people to listen to and share them. Next year is also the 20th anniversary of my first album I Don’t Know What I’m Doing so I’m hoping to do some fun stuff for that. Also artificial intelligence will replace songwriters and musicians soon so that’ll be relaxing. 

Gonna try and chill till the new year I think and then get back at it. Here’s a list of some of the stuff I put out or was involved with this year:
