Here's the source for my song Overreacting (50mb).
Remixes, a mashup and a cover, oh my:
- Borderline (16-1lab mix)
- I Think I Started a Trend (Zipper mix)
- I Think I Started a Trend (cotxetxe reverse mix)
- Look and Feel Years Younger (Cyberpest mix)
- Koalas with Guns (Bad Apples) - mashup of A Tribe Call Quest's Bonita Applebum and my Bad Attraction.
- Work Out Fine (Tom Nash cover)
Latest source is still I Think I Started a Trend (61mb). Other source is available here. Send me your mixes.
A shout-out to podcasts that have been playing my junk:
- Dreadful Snake Radio
- Communicando Podcast
- Crank Farm
- The Rock Show by the Ewan Spence
- tartanpodcast
- Tired Thumbs
I'm also told I was part of an impromptu battle of the bands on the Jay Thomas Show on Sirius satellite radio where I lost to Jay Thomas's 14 year old son. That's pretty awesome, but also a crushing blow and a massive intelligence failure.
Thanks to anyone else out there forcing people to listen to my music. Drop me a line if I missed any places!
Slightly rearranged site design is online now. The blog is now here. Please update your links for uninterrupted Brad service. In the site design there were a few goals:
- Reduce sidebar clutter. I'm down to one now and working through it in therapy with the love and support of my family.
- Move the weblog to a /blog/ page, to make the site a bit less crazy for new people.
- Break up the news and weblog so I don't feel like I'm burying the news whenever I blog.
The front page is just a placeholder right now and will have a static, more traditional band design in the future once I have something worth featuring there.
There's now a Flash player on the right sidebar under my album for a quick listen. I'm not usually a big fan of Flash, but in this instance I think it's way more convenient than having MP3 links. You can still get the MP3s on the album or music pages of course. Let me know if you have any feedback.
Here's some remixes and also the first mash-up I've gotten:
- Making Me Nervous (Dubslate mix)
- Making Me Nervous (Tomas PhUsIoN mix)
- Dirtbag (Alexander Deeley mix)
- Making Me Nervous (Basic Training mix)
- Bad Attraction (Basic Training mix)
- Breaking Away From a Trend (Ratatat's "Breaking Away" mashup by Future Boy)
The latest remix source is for I Think I Started A Trend (61mb). As always, please deliver to me your remixes and I will be most pleased.
I'm going to be presenting an award on The Skinny on Sports' award show podcast - The Skinnies. Presenters include Adam Curry, Dave Slusher, Michael Geoghegan and some other familiar names. Apparently listeners have the chance to win a 1 gig iPod Shuffle and Etymotic 61 earphones, the show should be up on and after Wednesday.
I'm working on a lot of Brad Sucks related stuff and hope to start actually finishing some of those things soon or at the very least die in my sleep and have them released posthumously.
My album's included on the just-released Magnatune Tuneplug (the Rock Music Collection Volume One). It's a reusable USB flash drive that comes pre-loaded with the top 10 selling rock albums on Magnatune.
Included are albums from Artemis, Arthur Yoria, Brad Sucks, Burnshee Thornside, Emmas Mini, Fluid, Jade Leary, Myles Cochran, The Kokoon and Tom Paul.
It comes in various sizes, but it's $70 US for the 512MB model. I seem to remember that it'll be available at some retail outlets, but you can read more about it and buy it online here.
Here's the source for I Think I Started A Trend (61mb). Australians seem to like this song and I, in turn, like them. Send me your remixes and whatever other stuff you make with my dumb sounds!
A batch of freshly hatched remixes:
- Bad Attraction (Future Boy Sambadelic mix)
- Borderline (Fantastic Vamps 8-Bit mix)
- Making Me Nervous (Autolect mix)
- Sick as a Dog (Future Boy Old-Time mix)
- Sick as a Dog (The Canine Fever Dream mix)
Despite a few additions this week, Sick as a Dog gets the award for being the least remixed song so far.
Apparently the remix podcast feed was broken, it should be fixed now. Thanks to Herbert for letting me know.
There's an interview with me here I did a while ago. As for Podcast play, I think The Skinny on Sports is using my music as an intro/outro. I see others fly by on Technorati but I lack the drive, ambition and organizational skills to write them down.
Hey, if you're the person who did the MatterOverMind remix of Making Me Nervous, please email me as I've lost your address. I'm on the home stretch of contacting remixers for the remix compilation.
More remixes!
- Sick as a Dog (Bill Berry mix)
- Making Me Nervous (Alexander Deeley mix)
- Look and Feel Years Younger (alexander Deeley mix)
- Borderline (Schizophrenic Remix)

- Dirtbag (Wadical Weft mix 2)
- Bad Attraction (Wadical Weft mix 1)
- Bad Attraction (Wadical Weft mix 2)
Latest song source is still Sick as a Dog. I'll be getting back to emailing remixers about including them on the remix CD real soon. Email me your mixes soon if you want to be on it.
Here are some of the remixes and news that it's taken me forever to post. A bunch of the remixes are ones I downloaded from Remixfight from before it got hacked (by the same security hole it seems that took out my forums and server some weeks ago):
- Bad Attraction (Bill Berry mix 3)
- Bad Attraction (Dr. Kong Balong mix) by Dr. Kong Balong
- Bad Attraction (Four Stones mix) by fourstones.net
- Bad Attraction (Want To Do My Own Thing mix) by Heurstics Inc.
- Bad Attraction (Oomatoz's My Own Thing mix)
- Bad Attraction (The Other White Noise mix) by The Other White Noise
- Bad Attraction (Undesirable's Ode To Finger mix)
- Sick as a Dog (MC Jack in the Box mix)
Latest source is for Sick as a Dog and you can get it here. Get your remixes in to me and you could be on a remix compilation coming out in the new year. Ooh la la!
Other junk:
- You can buy individual songs off my album on MSN Music now. Previously you could only buy the whole album, glad that's fixed.
- Apparently Australia's Triple J station played something by me and mentioned me. That is sweet.
- Drew Tetz tipped me off to my songs being used in yo-yo videos (1 and 2) The first one is from "The 2004 World Yo-Yo Contest" and is pretty hardcore.
- I've lost track of all the Podcasts that are playing me. I think one was plph.radio and I did a semi-custom intro for the Reel Reviews back when I had time to spare.
That is all for now.
In the server chaos of last week, I misplaced all the remixes people had sent me. If yours hasn't been posted yet, feel free to send it again and I'll try not to have some sort of disaster befall me until I get them online.
Here's a couple remixes from DJ Redshirt.
That Bad Attraction one is extra fantastic in a Prodigy sort of way.
